Examine past and present Spanish cultures alongside world history with this degree. You’ll spend your third year abroad practising your Spanish fluency in a Spanish-speaking country, enabling you to develop your expertise in the historical and cultural contexts of the Hispanic world. To help with your learning, you'll have access to document collections, including the Wellington, Palmerston and Mountbatten papers, and the Parkes archive - one of the largest Jewish documentation centres in Europe.You'll spend your third year immersed in Spanish language and culture in a country where Spanish is spoken. You can choose to be an English language assistant (British Council), study at a university, or be employed through an approved work placement. Our digital humanities facilities will allow you to study and research through cutting-edge technology, such as virtual reality, 3D scanners and printers, and a 360 degree fully immersive audio-visual centre. These technologies will enable you to start making and exploring in new and immersive ways.
