We will support you to explore how our experiences are shaped by class, gender and race - and how this is changing in the 21st century. You’ll delve into topical global challenges driving the continuous debate that could ultimately become a catalyst for change. Your modules will be underpinned by up-to-date research from the Work Futures Research Centre which will support you to understand the relationship between sociological scholarship, and policy, and practice. Over the course of your degree you’ll develop your knowledge and skills in research methods, including, quantitative and qualitative research, and theoretical approaches. With a research-led approach you will graduate with the skills you need to contribute your unique perspective to the field. You’ll benefit from specialist modules, employability workshops and one-to-one support from experienced sociologists to support you to select modules that align with your interests and career ambitions. You’ll graduate with the ability to analyse social structures. Ready to positively impact policy and practice at a local, national and global level.
