You'll join one of the largest marine science communities in Europe. You'll cover all the key ocean sciences giving you the chance to explore and learn more about the breadth of oceanography and the oceans. You will build your knowledge and skills progressively over four years.You’ll study topics such as:coastal change, from beach dynamics to sea level riseocean currents, globally connecting tropics to polesthe physical and chemical controls on life in the oceansYou will develop your practical skills in the laboratory and on board our research vessels, which are moored minutes away from the lecture theatres at our waterfront campus. You will also take part in a dedicated oceanography field course and research-orientated independent projects.The course is taught by academics who have influenced policy and decision-making at government at national and European level. Our students benefit from their links with industry, government and other major oceanography and marine biology centres around the world.This course is accredited by the Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology (IMarEST).
