Modern Languages (German) and Philosophy, BA (Hons), with study abroad

On this BA German and Philosophy degree you will become fluent in German and develop your abilities of philosophical analysis, and will spend a year abroad in a German-speaking country.Combining German with philosophy allows you to explore fundamental philosophical concepts and questions while studying a leading language of European philosophy. Our Digital Humanities facilities will allow you to study and research through cutting edge technology. Supported by an expert team, these technologies will enable you to start making and exploring in new and immersive ways.The programme and its pathways will provide you with an overarching learning environment solidly rooted in philosophy and philosophical debates. You will also develop a deep understanding of German culture and history, and study contemporary society, literature, film, ethnography and anthropology.
