About the course

This integrated master's degree allows you to master two key modern languages—French, German, or Spanish—starting at undergraduate level and achieving a master’s qualification in four years. With 96% of graduates entering employment or further study within 15 months, the program includes a year abroad at a university to enhance language skills and explore another culture's history and society. You can select a new language, supported by additional teaching and an end-of-year course for rapid progress, while developing immersion, critical thinking, cultural interpretation, and a dissertation on a topic of interest. Specialize in areas like translation, contemporary society, literature, film, ethnography, or politics.The course features compulsory modules for language mastery alongside optional ones, such as Applications of Linguistics, Transnational Movement, and Audiovisual Translation, enabling personalized learning. Assessment involves lectures, classes, tutorials, coursework, individual and group projects, and independent study.
