Environmental Geoscience, BSc (Hons)

This three-year Environmental Geoscience degree combines geology, geography, and oceanography to explore processes shaping the global Earth system across land, ocean, crust, and atmosphere. Students gain comprehensive knowledge in Earth, marine, and environmental sciences, with options to specialize in Geoscience or Marine pathways. Delivered at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton, a leading global hub for ocean and Earth science research, the program prepares graduates for careers or further study in environmental fields. Notably, Ocean and Earth Science at Southampton ranks 8th in the UK and 39th globally (QS World Rankings, 2023), with 98% of graduates employed or in further study 15 months after graduation (Graduate Outcomes 2020/2021).The curriculum offers diverse modules, such as Dynamic Earth and Physics of the Ocean in the first year, allowing students to tailor their studies.
