This English and History degree at Southampton integrates the study of literature and historical contexts, allowing you to explore Jane Austen's novels alongside contemporary naval wars or African literature in relation to modern urban history. You can also study abroad at partner universities. Our program spans ancient to modern history, with English modules examining global writing's links to politics, arts, and identity.
