Our four-year MEng in Electronic Engineering with Nanotechnology emphasises the design and implementation of secure electronic systems, building on our BEng programme. It explores the physics, design, and fabrication of advanced nanoscale electronics, covering key topics such as integrated circuit design, digital system synthesis, very-large-scale integration, silicon technology, devices, and nanotechnology. In years three and four, students select from a wide array of specialist modules and engage in a group project to address real industry challenges, enhancing technical, management, and teamwork skills.Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Southampton ranks among the UK's top five (as per major university guides) and features state-of-the-art facilities, including £8 million in teaching labs and a £100 million clean room complex. The programme prepares graduates for diverse careers through strong employer ties, career support like fairs and incubators, and accreditation by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Assessment includes exams, tests, design exercises, presentations, and group work, with core modules in the first two years focusing on circuits, systems, programming, and mathematics, followed by optional modules and individual research projects.
