Electronic Engineering with Mobile & Secure Systems, MEng (Hons)

This four-year MEng in Electronic Engineering with Mobile and Secure Systems builds on the BEng programme, equipping students with essential skills and knowledge for diverse engineering careers. Students begin with core modules in circuits, electronic systems, programming, digital systems, devices, fields, forces, materials, and mathematics. In later years, they select from a wide array of specialist options in areas like electronic and robotic systems, photonics, and digital coding. Participants engage in group and individual projects to address real industry challenges, enhancing technical, management, and research abilities.Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Southampton ranks among the UK's top five (as per major guides) and features state-of-the-art facilities, including £8 million in teaching labs and a £100 million clean room complex. This four-year MEng programme has been designed to maximise student choice by allowing you to tailor the degree structure to suit your own interests. During the first two years you will undertake a series of core modules, for example Circuits, Electronic Systems, Programming, Digital Systems and Devices, Fields, Forces and Materials, and Mathematics. In your third and fourth years you can choose from a wide range of optional modules that reflect the specialist areas of electrical engineering that will take you to the leading edge of technology sought by industry. You will also work on an individual project with one of our research groups which will allow you to work at the frontier of knowledge. Students undertake four years of study. Each year there are compulsory modules. However, the degree has been designed to maximise student choice by allowing you to tailor the degree structure to suit your own interests.
