Electronic Engineering, MEng (Hons), with industry placement

Our MEng Electronic Engineering degree offers an optional additional year in industry, typically after Year 2 or 3, which is evaluated by academics and experts. This experience enhances your employability by linking academic knowledge to real-world practices, providing a competitive advantage in the job market.The five-year programme builds skills in areas like computer processors, AI, and communications, with core modules in the first two years covering circuits, systems, programming, and mathematics. In later years, you can select from specialist options, undertake a group project addressing industry challenges, and complete an individual research project. The course is delivered in top-ranked facilities at Southampton, with strong career support and accreditation from the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Assessment includes exams, tests, presentations, and group work.
