This four-year MEng in Aerospace Electronic Engineering equips students with essential theoretical and practical skills for modern aerospace systems, focusing on electronics for aerospace and spacecraft. Key topics include electronic circuits, flight mechanics, radar techniques, guidance and control, space systems, digital systems, programming, devices, and mathematics. Students will design, simulate, and build a unique aerospace electronic system in their third-year project, collaborating with cutting-edge researchers to solve engineering challenges.Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Southampton ranks in the UK's top five, with £8 million invested in facilities. This four-year MEng programme has been designed to maximise student choice by allowing you to tailor the degree structure to suit your own interests. During the first two years you will undertake a series of core modules, for example electronic circuits and systems, flight mechanics and aerospace systems, radar techniques and applications, digital systems and microprocessors, programming and computer engineering, devices and solid state electronics and mathematics. In your third and fourth years you can choose from a wide range of optional modules that reflect the specialist areas of electronic engineering that will take you to the leading edge of technology sought by industry. You will also work on an individual project in year three and a group design project in year four which will allow you to work at the frontier of knowledge.
