Spanish and International Development, BA (Hons)

On our BA Spanish and International Development programme, you will develop your abilities in Spanish and achieve a profound understanding of different cultures and their development needs and aspirations.You will become confident and highly skilled in written and spoken Spanish. You will master the fundamental elements of the language, to the point where you will graduate with a near-native command of it. You will also have the opportunity to pick up one of our additional languages – Arabic, British Sign Language, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Modern Greek and Russian. During your year abroad you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the language and culture of a French-speaking country. You'll learn from experts from across the University. In addition to social scientists in the Department of International Development within the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, these include academics from Geography, Economics, Politics, and the Henley Business School. We use a variety of teaching methods that are designed to help you explore the world around you through case studies, stories and experiential learning.
