About the course

The BSc Psychology with Professional Placement offers tailored clinical experience, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), and provides pathways for further training towards a career in professional psychology. This programme includes a year-long placement to build essential skills, with 93% of students in the 2023 National Student Survey rating teaching staff as good or very good at explaining concepts (based on 93.18% of respondents).Core modules, subject to final university approval for 2025/26, include Applied and Professional Psychology, Debates in Mental Health, Introduction to Psychological Research, Learning about Learning, and The Person and the Brain. Optional modules may vary and cannot be guaranteed; detailed information will be available in summer 2024. We recommend checking the university website regularly for updates on the course structure.
