Our new BSc in Pharmacology equips students with the essential knowledge and skills to pursue careers as pharmacologists in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors. Aligned with the British Pharmacological Society's core curricula and tailored to industry demands, the programme covers principles of drug action, molecular targets, mathematical skills including statistical analysis and big data handling, as well as systems pharmacology and computer modelling. Students collaborate with experts from our schools of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy, Biological Sciences, and Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences.As one of the UK's top 25 universities for pharmacy and pharmacology (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, 2024), we offer access to leading researchers in drug development. The first two years may be studied alongside our MPAS Physician Associate programme, with potential transfer options based on grades, though not guaranteed.
