This three-year BA Modern Languages degree mirrors our four-year program but excludes the year abroad, making it ideal for students with special circumstances. Students can select up to three core languages—French, German, Italian, or Spanish—at intermediate or advanced levels. They may also combine up to two core languages with one or two additional options, such as Arabic, British Sign Language, Chinese (Mandarin), Modern Greek, Japanese, or Russian. Study choices include various combinations, from one core language to three core languages with additional ones.Participants will complete an eight-week placement in a language-rich setting, either as a single block or in parts, to build language skills and intercultural awareness. Examples include summer schools abroad, work placements in relevant organizations, or local schools.
