About the course

Our BA in Modern Languages and Economics allows you to study a contemporary language—such as French, German, Italian, or Spanish—while developing essential economic analysis skills for global issues. This adaptable programme includes options for introductory study in languages like Arabic, British Sign Language, Chinese (Mandarin), Modern Greek, or Japanese, subject to availability. Delivered by experts from the Departments of Languages and Cultures and Economics, you'll gain transferable skills in a vibrant, multilingual community at the University of Reading.
