Study a modern language, and apply key economic analysis skills to international issues, with our BA Modern Languages and Economics degree.Study one of our four core languages – French, German, Italian or Spanish – alongside your studies in international relations. Develop your skills as a versatile linguist through speaking, listening, writing, learning grammar, and translating – with the aim of becoming fluent in your chosen language. Students also have the opportunity to pick up one of our additional languages– Arabic, British Sign Language, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Modern Greek and Russian.You'll study practical issues in economics and explore the relationship between economics and society more broadly.
