Mathematics and Economics, BSc (Hons), with industry placement

Pursue a general passion for mathematics and acquire the skills, knowledge and understanding required to become an economist or use economics as a significant part of your career on this joint course.Explore the applied side of mathematics, studying mathematical biology and the mathematics of water waves; become a purist through our analysis modules; or learn some medical statistics and try your hand at being a statistical consultant. You'll also develop a strong grounding in the conceptual underpinnings of economics as well as the mathematical approach to the subject and its methodology. You'll learn to apply key mathematical and statistical techniques through core modules in macroeconomics, microeconomics and econometrics.
