About the course

Our BSc in Physical Geography with Professional Experience is a four-year programme that explores the processes and patterns shaping the natural world. It includes a year-long professional placement between the second and final years, allowing you to deepen your understanding of how the physical environment functions, responds to, and adapts to change. You will address critical global issues such as climate change, natural disasters, and weather systems, while studying diverse topics including hydrology, climatology, hazards, soils, and biogeography. The course offers flexibility to tailor your focus as your interests develop.Sample modules, subject to final approval for 2025/26, include Skills in Geography and Environmental Science, Landscapes and Natural Resources, Geographical Information Systems, Climate and Environmental Change, Ecosystems Modelling, and Physical Geography Field Class.
