About the course

Our BSc in Geography and Economics (Regional Science) delves into key concepts of economics and human geography, including globalisation, consumerism, sustainability, epidemic management, and responses to climate change. Delivered by experts from the Departments of Geography and Environmental Science and Economics, this interdisciplinary programme explores pressing global issues that influence daily life, addressing challenges at local, regional, national, and global levels. Students critically examine resource allocation and its social-economic impacts, consumerism and sustainability issues, employment and development, urban regeneration, and the application of micro- and macro-economics to globalisation.Sample modules include Approaching Human Geography, Principles of Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Climate Change and Responsibilities, and Consumption, Politics and Space.
