About the course

Our BA Classics degree offers an in-depth exploration of ancient Greek and Roman cultures through the study of their languages, Greek and Latin. Students will engage with original texts and examine the development and function of languages, both ancient and modern. The programme also provides a comprehensive view of the ancient world from political, social, and cultural perspectives, with opportunities to study other civilisations like ancient Egypt, including hieroglyphics.
