Our BA in Art and English Literature enables students to undertake extensive studio-based practice, deepen their knowledge of contemporary art theories, and explore English literature across diverse eras and global contexts. You will examine how creative debates intersect between these disciplines, fostering a dynamic learning experience. At Reading School of Art, join a vibrant community where you can experiment with various media, emerging forms, and art history modules, supported by 24/7 studio access, dedicated tutors, and regular events like exhibitions and performances. Professional opportunities include museum trips, public commissions, and guidance from internationally renowned artists and researchers.In English literature, you will study familiar genres and authors—from Shakespeare to Beckett—alongside less conventional areas such as children's literature and publishing history.
