About the course

Our MSci Applied Psychology (Clinical) course offers specialist clinical training and builds scientific knowledge in psychology, preparing you for roles as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner in the NHS. This master's-level qualification combines elements of the University's BSc Psychology and the Charlie Waller Institute's Postgraduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatments. It serves as an ideal pathway for further studies in clinical psychology, with 92% of students in the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences rating teaching staff as good or very good at explaining concepts, based on the 2023 National Student Survey.Core modules, subject to final approval for 2025/26, include Applied and Professional Psychology, Debates in Mental Health, Introduction to Psychological Research, Learning about Learning, and The Person and the Brain.
