About the course

Our BSc Accounting and Finance with Placement Experience degree, offered by Henley Business School—ranked in the top 25 in the UK for Accounting and Finance (The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide, 2024)—prepares students for careers in accountancy firms, financial institutions, and multinational enterprises. The programme provides a strong foundation in core accounting and finance theory, technical skills, and the role of these disciplines in business and society. It differs from the standard BSc by including a one-year work placement after the second year, allowing students to apply knowledge in real-world settings through modules on financial systems, capital markets, trading simulations, and spreadsheet modelling. In later years, students can specialise in advanced topics and select optional modules to align with their interests, graduating with transferable professional skills. The course offers credit for prior learning from ICAEW, ACCA, and CIMA, plus the option to study for one year at our Malaysia campus for an international experience with potential fee reductions. For details, visit the programme page.
