This blended learning BSc (Hons) Midwifery course equips you with the knowledge, skills, interpersonal, and cultural competence to deliver individualised care, promoting continuity, personalisation, and choice for childbearing women and families. Ideal for self-motivated learners able to study independently online with local tutor support, it combines 50% online academic study/tutorials and 50% clinical practice, including weekly midwifery placements, regular online tutorials, and campus-based clinical skills teaching at InterCity Place.Experience varied learning approaches—online lectures, case studies, IT activities, peer learning, and holistic professional practice—while exploring pregnancy and birthing complexities. Develop critical thinking, reflective practice, interprofessional teamwork, and attributes for autonomous future practice. Upon successful completion, register as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, enabling you to promote health, provide autonomous care, contribute effectively in teams, and support peers. This flexible yet full-time programme fosters inspiring, purpose-built training.
