Our BSc (Hons) Geography degree examines relationships between physical processes, nature, and environmental change, equipping students with skills to address global challenges aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Based in Plymouth—a vibrant urban hub amid iconic rural and coastal landscapes—students benefit from flexible pathways, allowing human geography (GGH) modules even on a physical geography (BSc) route, with typically more physical (GGP) options.Innovative, student-centred teaching includes lectures, seminars, practicals, residential fieldwork, tutorials, and dissertation support, plus Geographical Information Systems training. Options encompass a second-year study abroad exchange (Europe, Canada, Australia, USA, or elsewhere), work placements for employability, and our unique location near Dartmoor National Park, Tamar Valley, and South Hams Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
