The Natural Sciences programme offers an interdisciplinary approach, allowing students to explore a combination of science subjects before specialising. In the first year, participants select three subjects—such as Archaeology, Biology, Cancer Sciences, Chemistry, Ecosystems and Environment, Earth Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Psychology—and study 40 credits per subject, including core modules and the compulsory Academic and Transferable Skills Portfolio. This structure helps build foundational skills for university life.In subsequent years, students focus on two subjects, progressing to deeper analysis and practical experiences like fieldwork and laboratory classes in the second year, and advanced modules with a synoptic group project in the third. The MSci degree extends to a fourth year of specialised study, emphasising research, analytical, and project management skills. For the most current details, consult the course page on our website.
