Civil engineering integrates creativity with technological and scientific knowledge to transform the world. You will gain skills to design and manage major projects, studying core theory in structures, geotechnics, materials, hydraulics and fluid mechanics, highway and transport engineering, surveying, and construction management through individual and team-based learning. The course includes site visits, plus access to advanced facilities such as preparation and testing labs for structures, geotechnics and materials; a fluid mechanics teaching laboratory; state-of-the-art surveying equipment; design studios; and CAD/BIM.Graduates can register as Incorporated Engineers with the Engineering Council or progress to Chartered status, opening doors to industry careers or professions valuing analytical, creative minds.
