About the course

The Applied Behavioral Science concentration in the Human Biology major allows students to focus on applied behavior science lecture, practicum, and laboratory courses.  Students may experience the interdisciplinary nature of this major by taking courses from the other Human Biology affiliated departments to fulfill the concentration’s degree requirements (e.g., Anthropology, Biology, Psychology, Speech-Language-Hearing).  Within the Applied Behavioral Science concentration, students complete courses in two of the following four categories: Applied Behavioral Science; Development: Typical and Atypical; Community Health and Development; and Evolution, Culture, and Behavior. Please see the appropriate BA Human Biology, Applied Behavioral Science concentration degree requirement check sheet for specific course options. We encourage students to become involved in undergraduate research and practicum courses in Applied Behavioral Science and to make connections with the department’s faculty members. For these opportunities and descriptions of our faculty members’ interests, please visit the Department of Applied Behavioral Science.
