About the course

The KU School of Education provides an undergraduate program in Health and Physical Education (PE) teacher education, leading to initial teacher licensure for grades PK-12. This program consists of three key components: General Education (completed mainly in the first two years), Major (specialized content areas), and Professional Education (focused on student learning and effective communication). Admissions are noncompetitive and open to all qualified applicants.Key benefits include the program's strong reputation, as the KU School of Education ranked 8th nationally among public education schools by U.S. News & World Report, and its national accreditation through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) via the CAEP system.
