Organismal biology focuses on studying biology at the level of the whole organism, while also addressing aspects below and above this scale. Within the B.S. Biology major, this emphasis includes core courses like organismal physiology, biochemistry, and evolutionary biology, along with a requirement for at least one course in each of three thematic areas: development and morphology, function, and diversity. For B.S. Biology-Organismal Biology students, degree requirement check sheets are available for those entering KU from Fall 2013 through Spring 2014, Fall 2010 through Spring 2013, and Spring 2003 through Spring 2010. Students should consult these sheets alongside their current Degree Progress Report (DPR), meet regularly with an academic advisor, consider major admission requirements, and review sample four-year plans to develop a personalized degree completion strategy.
