About the course

The Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) emphasis within the B.S. in Biology integrates and supersedes previous focuses on cell biology, genetics, and neurobiology. This major features core courses in cellular biology, evolutionary biology, developmental biology, neurobiology, and biochemistry, allowing students significant flexibility in selecting electives. For students entering KU in or after Fall 2014, MCDB degree requirement check sheets should be used alongside an updated Degree Progress Report (DPR). Students are encouraged to consult regularly with an academic advisor, consider major admission requirements, and review sample four-year plans to develop their own degree completion strategy.
