About the course

Study social work with practice-based placements and strong employment prospects. Most graduates secure roles in local authority social work, the voluntary sector, and social welfare agencies. This degree delivers essential academic knowledge and practical skills for a social work career, exploring key issues in children and families, and adult social work. Our research-active, expert staff support learning, complemented by placements with local authorities that build professional competence. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to register with Social Work England (SWE), whose approval this course holds.Choose full-time or part-time study; the employment-based part-time route spans four years with employer sponsorship, where employers arrange placements. Gain hands-on experience through robust arrangements with local authorities and voluntary organisations. Delivered at our historic Greenwich Campus, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the River Thames.
