Pharmaceutical Sciences (Extended), BSc (Hons), with industry placement

Our extended pharmaceutical sciences degree provides comprehensive knowledge spanning biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, physiology, and drug design, including hands-on projects and laboratory experience. This four-year programme begins with a foundation year to build essential skills for degree-level study, followed by the same modules as the standard three-year course, making it accessible for those with lower entry qualifications.Career prospects include positions in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries, as well as research, quality control, and manufacturing. The course serves as a pathway to qualified person status with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and membership in the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences. It is taught at the Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent, and focuses on developing academic writing and computing skills during the foundation year.
