From biology to pharmacology, our extended pharmaceutical sciences degree gives you a broad knowledge of the subject. The course includes an extra year to prepare you for degree-level study.Our extended degree in pharmaceutical sciences explores areas such as biochemistry, biology, physiology, pharmacology, and drug design and delivery. A project and laboratory work will give you opportunities to get hands-on experience.Before studying the same modules offered on our three-year course, you'll complete a foundation year. This will get you up to speed with learning at degree level.Graduate careers include roles in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, research and development, food industries, quality control and manufacturing. The course is a stepping stone to qualified person status with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. You can also apply for membership of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences.What you should know about this course

  • This four-year course includes the same modules as the three-year course but has a foundation year to make it available with lower requirements
