Our BSc Forensic Toxicology is the UK’s only undergraduate course dedicated to this field, preparing you for careers in forensic science, hospitals, or research labs. With millions of chemicals in existence, understanding their effects on the body and detection methods is crucial, especially given common forensic defenses like “the drug made me do it,” which influence sentencing and culpability. You will develop strong quantitative and analytical skills, studying drug types, mechanisms, detection, evidence reporting, courtroom arguments, and foundational topics in crime scene science, biology, chemistry, and physiology. This course equips you with unique transferable skills for industries including forensics, research, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, through hands-on learning of workplace procedures. Ideal for clinical toxicology or innovative research in entomotoxicology, anthrotoxicology, ecotoxicology, and pharmacogenetics, it is taught at our Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent.
A local representative of University of Greenwich in Singapore is available online to assist you with enquiries about this course.
