Forensic Science, BSc (Hons), with industry placement

This four-year BSc (Hons) Forensic Science degree, including a placement year, provides real-world forensic experience to enhance employability.At our Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent, students access state-of-the-art facilities, including a vehicle examination garage, modern laboratories, decomposition suites, and a mock mortuary. Practical training covers crime scenes, mass disasters, and Disaster Victim Identification. Delivered by industry experts, the programme involves collaboration with Kent Fire Brigade, Metropolitan and Kent Police, Counter Terrorism units, and others. We support placement opportunities to showcase skills to employers. Accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences (with discounted membership), it equips students for careers in homicide investigation, blood pattern analysis, molecular biology, fingerprints, toxicology, ballistics, and more. The placement year offers a career head-start working with professionals.
