About the course

Our BA (Hons) Architecture degree, accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Architects Registration Board (ARB), provides the first step toward a professional career in architecture. Based in the Heneghan Peng-designed galleries of our Stockwell Street Building, studio-based tutorials deliver essential skills through diverse design approaches, including design software, visual communication, and drawing.Students explore architectural practice, history, contemporary theories, sustainability, and technology, alongside new technologies, social conditions, cultural contexts, and aesthetic concerns. The programme includes visits to galleries, museums, architecture offices, and key buildings, plus lectures by eminent speakers. Successful graduates earn exemption from the RIBA Part 1 exam. Our students have won prestigious awards, including the AJ Student Prize, RIBA student awards, and Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects accolades.
