Our architecture degree, accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB), serves as the foundational step toward a professional career in architecture. Instruction occurs at the Stockwell Street Building, featuring Heneghan Peng-designed galleries, where studio-based tutorials deliver essential skills through diverse design approaches. Students will develop proficiency in design software, visual and drawing techniques, and explore topics such as architectural practice, history, sustainability, contemporary theory, and technology. Successful graduates receive exemption from the RIBA Part 1 examination.Key highlights include the BA Hons Architecture programme as a career launchpad, with opportunities to investigate emerging technologies, social conditions, cultural contexts, and theoretical concerns. The curriculum emphasizes visual and tactile skills, including software use, alongside visits to galleries, museums, architecture offices, and notable buildings, plus lectures by eminent speakers. Our students have earned recognition through prestigious awards like the AJ Student Prize and RIBA student awards.
