Mathematics, MMath (Hons), with industry placement

This program provides a deep and broad understanding of modern advanced mathematics, including advanced modules and an independent research project selected from a wide range of topics. It is particularly suited for those pursuing postgraduate study or careers demanding advanced mathematical skills.Students can gain ‘Professional Experience’ in commerce or industry during the summer between years of study, opt for a semester abroad ‘with International Study’ at partner universities in Continental Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand in their third year, or extend their degree with a ‘Year in Industry’ at companies such as Lloyds Banking Group, Coca-Cola, the Met Office, and PwC.
