Acquire essential analytical techniques applicable across diverse subjects and research tasks.Participate in extracurricular activities such as language societies, tandem partnerships, and community liaison work, including the Translation! Festival—the UK's only public festival dedicated to translation. Campus facilities include Special Collections on world-renowned writers, the unique Bill Douglas Cinema Museum for film and popular culture, and the Digital Humanities Lab. Exeter recently earned UNESCO City of Literature status. Beginners' language students from Year 1 must spend their third year abroad and apply for the 4-year programme.
