Philosophy offers significant practical value beyond mere reflection. By studying philosophy and law in tandem, students gain a critical understanding of their interconnections. Moral, political, and legal philosophy influence the law, while legal practice provides insights for philosophers. This course emphasizes exploring not only the current state of the law but also its ideal form.Additionally, students can engage in extracurricular activities to enhance employability, such as volunteering at the Law Clinic to provide legal advice to clients, participating in mooting and client interviewing competitions, joining law, human rights, and bar societies, and networking with visiting law firms. The third year includes a placement in an external organization, offering hands-on work experience that boosts competitiveness in the job market and builds industry connections.
