About This CourseOn this course, you’ll gain a strong grounding in key theories and research methods of social psychology. You’ll study topics such as forensic psychology, family life, the psychology of good and evil, the psychology of mental health, social groups and behavioural change. Throughout your degree you will study a range of theoretical ideas and develop expert research skills. In your final year, you’ll also design and implement an individual research project, related to a social psychological topic. Past students have chosen areas such as substance alcohol use, implicit cognition, conspiracy theories, stereotyping and prejudice, and perceptions of ex-offenders. If you’re interested in a career in business, entrepreneurship or the healthcare sector, this course is ideal for you. It’s also an excellent choice if you plan to go on to postgraduate study in social psychology, forensic psychology, clinical psychology, or marketing and management. You’ll be able to choose from a range of psychology modules according to your interests, be they broad or specific. You’ll also have the chance to experience topics you may not have come across before.
