About the course

Social psychology examines how society and surrounding individuals—real, implied, or imagined—influence human behaviour. This degree provides a strong foundation in key theories and research methods, covering topics like forensic psychology, pro- and antisocial behaviour, mental health, social groups, and behavioural change. Students benefit from research-led teaching in varied group sizes at UEA’s School of Psychology, ranked 14th for research quality in Psychology, Psychiatry, and Neuroscience (Times Higher Education REF 2021). Support includes personal academic advisors, Learning Enhancement and Wellbeing Teams, and a four-week pre-arrival module. Flexible module choices allow pathway changes after year one; year three is spent abroad at a partner university, followed by final-year access to advanced labs (VR suite, eye-tracking, motion-tracking) and an individual social psychology research project.Graduates pursue careers in market research, HR, healthcare, and social services, or postgraduate study in social, forensic, or clinical psychology. Career support includes business training, placements, and internships.*Disclaimer: Course details subject to change. Confirm on the provider's website: www.uea.ac.uk*
