Through hands-on experience at a major art gallery and museum, you will examine art history across time and cultures, and investigate the interplay between culture and society from past to present and future.Housed in the renowned Sainsbury Centre, the UK's only Art History Department within a world-class museum, you will join a distinctive community. The BA History of Art with Gallery and Museum Studies immerses you in Norwich's historic setting, allowing direct engagement with collections to study collecting processes, politics, and diverse audiences. You will delve into display practices across contemporary galleries, natural history collections, historic houses, and heritage sites, while examining the roles of curators, conservators, and educators in audience engagement—key to careers in museums, galleries, and heritage.
