About the course

The BSc Cognitive Psychology degree explores mental processes underpinning human behaviour, including attention, language, memory, and perception. Students master key theories and research methods through research-led teaching in varied group sizes. UEA’s School of Psychology ranks 14th for research quality in Psychology, Psychiatry, and Neuroscience (Times Higher Education REF 2021). Support includes personal academic advisors, Learning Enhancement and Wellbeing Teams, and a four-week pre-arrival module. Core topics cover brain and cognition, psychology of risk, visual world, language, and clinical neuropsychology, with flexible module choices and pathway switches.In the third year, access state-of-the-art labs with VR, eye-tracking, and motion-tracking equipment for an individual cognitive psychology research project (e.g., autism, face perception). Develop employer-valued skills like data handling, with career support, placements, and internships.
