As a mental health nurse, you will provide care to individuals across diverse settings and mental health challenges. For the BSc (Hons) program, you will complete an honours project on a chosen topic. A significant portion of the population faces mental health difficulties in their lifetime, and this course equips you to support recovery by building practical and cognitive skills, enabling you to graduate as a competent and confident practitioner.You will work in various environments, including city hospitals, rural communities, and patients' homes. The program allocates 50% of your time to campus-based learning and 50% to placements in hospitals and community settings, where you develop hands-on skills and explore practical elements in our clinical skills centre. Upon completion, you gain an academic qualification and professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
