About the course

This degree offers you the chance of an 8-week internship, in China, Mexico, Vietnam, Manchester (UK), or done remotely online. The internship is supported by Pagoda Projects from start to finish. Presenting you with a choice of internship companies, the different locations and then supporting you in your chosen country for the 8-weeks. This is an amazing opportunity for you to experience working, as part of your degree. The programme aims to,1. To foster the pursuit of life-long-learning by • providing a supportive, student-centred, learning environment; and • promoting deep learning approaches to study among students.2. To provide students with the opportunity to• learn the core principles and methods of economics; • acquire the knowledge and skills to apply them to a range of issues in a variety of settings; and• benefit from research informed teaching. 3. To provide students with a choice of structured degree pathways to allow them to follow a coherent programme of studies that is relevant to their personal requirements for academic and professional development. In particular, the Economics pathway leads to a mainstream degree in economics;4. To create an environment which encourages students to acquire transferable skills and develop their own personal resources and qualities.
