Biomedical Sciences, BSc (Hons)

In the Biomedical Sciences program, students explore a diverse range of topics in Levels 1 and 2 before specializing in areas of interest during Levels 3 and 4. This encompasses the study of normal and diseased functions, along with strategies for disease prevention and treatment. A foundational understanding of biological theories, from molecular mechanisms to whole-body systems, is essential for success in life sciences.The first two years cover core concepts such as genetics, cell biology, biological organization, and molecular processes, while developing practical skills in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and experimental design to prepare for advanced projects. Students can select modules to graduate with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences or focus on fields like neuroscience, pharmacology, or physiology. The program's flexibility allows transfers to other life sciences degrees with relevant choices, and its curriculum, shaped by world-leading researchers, integrates the latest advancements with fundamental principles.
