Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (Top-Up), BEng (Hons)

This top-up degree, equivalent to the final year of an undergraduate programme, provides a solid foundation and essential skills for successful practice as a professional engineer. It integrates relevant technologies and applications, with modules tailored to Mechanical Engineering (covering engineering design modelling, computational fluid dynamics, and materials) or Manufacturing Engineering (focusing on materials, automation, control, and systems). Both routes address organisational innovation, ethical and environmental standards, and culminate in a personalised project. Accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), it meets full requirements for Incorporated Engineer (IEng) registration.Students access state-of-the-art facilities, including the Additive Manufacturing Lab, wind tunnel, thermodynamics area with jet and test engines, and a mechanical workshop with CNC equipment.
