Technology with Design, BSc (Hons), with industry placement

This four-year honours degree equips students with the skills, technical expertise, and market insight needed to innovate through design and technology. It focuses on applying creativity to develop products for the marketplace, appealing to those passionate about engineering, technology, and product design. By integrating design and engineering principles, participants learn to conceptualise innovative ideas and transform them into manufacturable realities, while emphasising teamwork and an interdisciplinary approach to influence industry positively.The programme is jointly delivered by the School of Engineering and the Belfast School of Art, featuring a compulsory placement in the third year. It holds accreditation from the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED), the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council.
