This three-year full-time course equips students with the essential knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours to become competent and confident paramedics delivering safe, person-centred care. Learning occurs in supportive university settings through lectures, seminars, and tutorials, as well as via simulated environments in clinical skills rooms and a mock ambulance, complemented by hands-on practice in community, hospital, and ambulance services.Throughout the programme, students receive guidance from university staff and clinical mentors to provide care for individuals across all age groups and abilities, including those with long-term conditions, acute medical or surgical issues, and trauma. This prepares graduates to work in diverse health and social settings, with applicants required to meet specified health and character standards. The course is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council.
